Director of Membership and Events Chaley Paulson Originally from Red Lodge, Mont., Chaley Paulson is the director of membership and events for the California Cattlemen’s Association. Chaley’s education and her personal background make her a great fit for her role at CCA. As a staff member who works closely with CCA members and potential members, Chaley is able to relate to the needs of beef producers. She said her job allows her to work with a community of people that are as passionate about the cattle industry as she is. Chaley grew up on a small ranch and was active in 4-H, FFA, Agricultural Ambassadors at Montana State University and Colorado State University as well as many other agricultural organizations through high school and college. She also worked as retail promotions intern and program assistant for the Montana Beef Council through college and recently spent the summer running more than 1,000 cows on 160,000 acres in the northwestern corner of Nevada. Chaley graduated with a bachelor's degree in agricultural relations from Montana State University. She spent her freshmen year at Colorado State and participated in a national student exchange at Oklahoma State University. Aside from Chaley’s career interests, she enjoys being outside and on horseback working with cattle. She also has a small business creating jewelry and leather goods. Chaley said she is eager to work with members, and planning events for California’s stewards of an American tradition. “This is a respectable industry that we all grew up in and my passion and devotion for it runs deep,” Chaley said. “I promise to bring my solid dedication to the table every time and commit all I have to make each experience the best possible.”
