Originally from Red Lodge, Mont., Chaley Harney is the director of membership and events for the California Cattlemen’s Association.
Chaley’s education and her personal background make her a great fit for her role at CCA. As a staff member who works closely with CCA members and potential members, Chaley is able to relate to the needs of beef producers. She said her job allows her to work with a community of people that are as passionate about the cattle industry as she is. Chaley is the staff contact for all meeting and events planning, and staffs the membership committee, convention committee, Young Cattlemen's Committee and Allied Industry Council.
Chaley grew up on a small ranch in Montana. Prior to joining the CCA staff, she worked as retail promotions intern and program assistant for the Montana Beef Council. Chaley graduated with a bachelor's degree in Agricultural Relations from Montana State University. Chaley and her husband, Deeth, now reside in Elk Creek.
