Margo Parks represents CCA as associate director of government relations.
Margo joined the CCA staff in May 2011 with an education and legislative
background that serves the association and the state's ranchers exceptionally
well.
Prior to her tenure at CCA, Margo worked as the deputy campaign manager for Sen.
Anthony Cannella (R-Ceres). Prior to that, she served as legislative staff in
Sen. Dave Cogdill’s (R-Modesto) capitol office. Margo, originally from
Carmichael, graduated with a bachelor's degree in American Studies from Scripps
College, Claremont.
Margo works with CCA's Justin Oldfield on legislative and regulatory issues that
impact California's beef producers. Specifically, she works on land use,
taxation, wildlife, range improvement & management, livestock identification,
animal welfare, animal health, food safety and state budgetary items that
coincide with relevant state agencies that handle these issues.
