Associate Director of Communications Malorie Bankhead

Malorie Bankhead, CCA Associate Director of Communications, is the first point of contact for all media inquiries at CCA and also serves as the editor for the monthly Hot Irons newsletter and the weekly Legislative Bulletin. In addition, Malorie is the state coordinator for California’s Beef Quality Assurance Program and assists with producer education. She also maintains the CCA website and social networking communication sites and provides editorial support to the California Cattleman magazine. Malorie also serves as advisor to the California Young Cattlemen's Committee.

Raised on her family’s cow-calf ranch in Livermore, Malorie graduated from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo, with a bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Communication with an emphasis in Animal Science. Prior to graduating from Cal Poly, Malorie served as an intern for the U.S. Department of Agriculture in Washington, D.C.; Certified Angus Beef, LLC in Wooster, Ohio; and for the National Cattlemen’s Beef Association at the Annual Cattle Industry Convention and NCBA Tradeshow. Malorie also served as the 2009 California Beef Ambassador and as a member of the 2010 National Beef Ambassador Team, and serves as an active member of the California CattleWomen and the American National CattleWomen.
